What does "safety" and "security" mean?
Although similar, the two words define different notions when they refer to glass.
The safety glass is a glass that prevents risk of injury in case of impact.
The security glass resists deliberate attacks performed manually, with firearms or explosives.
Using only the right glass will not provide the required protection unless a proper frame and a proper mounting system are used. It is therefore imperatively necessary to combine the performant glass with proper joinery systems.

It is recommended to use the safety glass for the glazing of doors and windows located at a distance less than 1.5 m from floor. Also, the same safety glass must be used for all fixed glazing areas located below 0.8 m from the floor.
